Get Well Adi and First Place in the League

Last weekend we found ourselves at yet another FC Seoul game. This one was dedicated to one of their foreign players named Adi who had been injured a few weeks weeks before and is still unable to play. We first saw him out front of the stadium for some photo ops with children. Then when we entered the stadium, we received a rather strange face mask that was supposed to look like Adi.

Then Adi was on the field to say some words of thanks while everyone cheered and waved his number.

The rest of the game was good, ending with a win for FC Seoul, as usual. I've been to quite a few games now and I've only seen wins.

We had to go to the FC Seoul game today too, seeing as how it was the last regular season game of the year.

It was an exciting game against Daejeon and they broke the tie in the final minutes of the game to win the game.

They end their season as #1 in the league. This game was crucial because if they had lost, Jeju United, #2 in the league would have pulled ahead and stolen their position. Now the next game will be Dec. 5th for the last game in the playoffs where another team will battle FC Seoul.

  1. Wow! I was there, too, but I didn't see you! I did see a couple of Adi masks but I couldn't figure out what they were.

No question this was a big game, but it turns out only a tie was needed, as Jeju United tied their game with Incheon. Still, what a cheer of relief with the winning goal at 3 min remaining!

  2. Yea, we got the Adi masks when we walked in, along with the paper fan/noise maker. That was the game two weeks ago, of course. This week's game was really exciting!
