Even more impressive that you've worked them. I have First Step in Korean, Your First 100 Words in Korean, Gateway to Speaking Korean. I'm actually reading some 'standard Korean' book here in China...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1343716143682288385.post-25110378322644754722011-05-24T23:10:16.982+09:002011-05-24T23:10:16.982+09:00Thanks for this review! Having all the words definitions in Korean sucks at first but it's a really useful habit to pick up. When you look for word definitions in Korean instead of with an English-Korean dictionary, it's much easier to understand the slight differences in meaning between words that are somewhat similar.
I started learning around 2006 as well with the Seoul National University textbooks. They're pretty good for beginners but tend to be limited once you reach level 4.
Also I agree that books to practice TOPIK are pretty useless, the test archive online is great and really is all you need. I passed the intermediary level using only those. I've noticed that the questions are usually very similar from one year to another.
Cheers!Intramanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06416562557890076453noreply@blogger.com
